S-TECH for nucleic acid extraction
S-TECH: DNAiTECH’s front-end DNA/RNA extraction technology

S-TECH front-end extraction for point-of-care
Centrifuge-free sample processing: Replaces laboratory-based extraction processes, the need for centrifuges, and spin columns with an elegant, syringe-driven POC filtration process.
Universal matrix extraction: Efficiently isolates high-purity DNA and RNA from any sample type, including nasal swabs, blood, biopsies, honey, faeces, soil, and plant tissues.
Inhibitor-free isolation: Uses rapid SDS cell lysis followed by glass-fibre capture of nucleic acids and proteins; amplification inhibitors are stripped away, eliminating the risk of false-negative results.
Nucleic acids eluted: highly purified nucleic acids are bound to the filter, and eluted just prior to analysis
Breakthrough ambient preservation (cold-chain freedom)
Zero-refrigeration archiving: Nucleic acids remain securely bound and stable on the dry S-TECH filter matrix—completely dropping the requirement for cold-chain shipping or deep-freezer storage. The dryness of the filter is maintained by enclosing the S-TECH filter in a foil zip-lock bag containing a silica gel desiccant sachet. The image below shows the stability of measles RNA bound to the filter for 30 days compared to control measles RNA sample which was eluted from its filter immediately after extraction.
