ENTERIC CHIP FOR THE PORCINE INDUSTRY

We are pleased to announce that DNAiTECH has launched its porcine disease project, funded by Australian Porcine Limited. Pathogens can spread quickly when animals are housed in close proximity; having in-house tests available will transform the swine industry. Our initial focus is on three major enteric pathogens: Lawsonia intracellularis, Brachyspira pilosicoli, and Brachyspira hydrosenteriae. We will integrate LAMP-CRISPR tests for these pathogens into our diagnostic chip technology, enabling detection of the causative agent in under one hour. Currently, diagnostic testing is laboratory-based, and results may take several days. We plan to expand the enteric chip to include additional pathogens and, in the future, develop a respiratory pathogen chip.
